Hi I'm Andy

After growing up on a farm, I attended University, received a bachelors in Biology and became a 2nd Lt. in the Army. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Growing up on a farm I learned what it meant to be a hard worker. In the summer I was up before the sun to get as much of the work done as possible to beat the heat. many long days were spent taking care of animals, watering the fields and keeping everything running smoothly. At the age of 19 I served a full-time mission to Italy. Spreading the word of God brought immense joy into my life. I truly loved the people. After returning home, I joined the Army and enrolled into an Army ROTC program. for the next four years I trained to become an Officer in the United States Army. On December 19th 2014 that day finally happened. While attending Dixie State University I met the love of my life. Anna was the perfect match for my, not only was she beautiful and perfect, but she laughed at my stupid jokes and went along with my crazy adventures! After one year of marriage we had our first daughter. Our baby girl has made me feel love like no other, the joy that "My Ladies" bring into my life is unreal. I can hardly imagine what it would be like with out them. Finally, I love the outdoors. being in the beauty of God's Creation with my family is the highlight of my life. I love to hike, canyoneer, bike, swim and do anything that will get me away from the noise and commotion of the city.

Why I am a Mormon

In the spring of 1820 a young boy went into a grove of trees and prayed to the Lord God. Joseph Smith was called to be a prophet of God. I am a Mormon because I prayed as Joseph prayed and received an answer. That the Church of Jesus Christ is once again on the earth today. I know without a shadow of a doubt that this is the Lords Church, and the only way to return to heaven is to make promises with the Lord to do our very best to serve him and keep his commandments.

How I live my faith

I believe that every member of the church should be striving to be a missionary. In my life I have always tried to share the gospel with other people around me. Whether it be in line at a grocery store or on a hike in Zion National Park. I believe that true happiness will only come when one has the knowledge that a Modern Prophet is on the earth today and leads and guides The Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints. For this reason I try to share my beliefs to everyone that I feel inspired to talk to. I also serve in the Church. my current responsibility is teaching 7 year old children about Christ and what he has done for us in these days. In the past I have taught youth and adults. I have come to love teaching because I know that when we teach others our faith is strengthened and we have the opportunity to help strengthen others. I also live my faith by striving to be a worthy priesthood holder and patriarch of my family. Every morning before I leave to work I study the Scriptures until I have been edified by the Spirit of God. I strive to learn something new each and every day in order to strengthen my testimony of Jesus Christ.
