Hi I'm Jorvik Harris

I'm currently serving a two year mission in the California Rancho Cucamonga mission. I attended BYU-I, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I love being outdoors, long boarding, watching movies, and being with friends. I am majoring in chemistry at BYU-I, but taking a two year break currently as I am on a mission in California.

Why I am a Mormon

I wasn't always wanting to be Mormon, and wasn't planning on going to BYU-Idaho. My parents asked me to read the Book of Mormon one more time and after that if I didn't believe I could stop. After long days of class I would walk to the Rexburg temple and read my Book of Mormon. One night I was reading, and all of a sudden I felt my Heavenly Father hugging me. I knew right then I am right where I need to be. The roommates I had were the examples I needed to have. My brother who was serving a mission had no idea I was contemplating serving a mission of mine own, and sent me a commitment to read Doctrine and Covenants section 4. In verse 3 it states,"If ye have the desires to serve God, Ye are called to the work." A month later I was waiting for my mission call, and two months later I am now on a mission. Why such a big change people ask me. Well I realized Heavenly Father has never abandoned me, and has blessed my life tremendously. And the time spent at BYU-Idaho with amazing friends I realized how happy I was, and wanted to share the gospel so people could be just as happy as me. I challenge you to read the Book of Mormon with an open heart, and pray sincerely.

How I live my faith

Well since I am serving a mission it is pretty fun living my faith everyday, and every waking minute I am up. I live my faith by helping others find and use theirs.
