Hi I'm Everett McBride

I was born in Logan Utah. I have three brothers and one sister I am the youngest in my family, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am 19 years old, I love skateboarding, walking, listening to music, watching movies, and talking I am currently serving a mission in the Nevada Las Vegas West mission. I plan on moving to Sacramento California for school when I get home from my mission. I would love to work in a auto shop for a living, I wish to start a family someday and to serve another mission when I get older. I was born in Logan Utah but moved to Nampa Idaho where I lived for fourteen years before I started serving a mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church like many others. After a while I fell away and chose not to follow God or the teachings of the church. It was a long and lonely road in my life, when I was in high school I went to a church camp called P.I.E.. (Priesthood Institute for Excellence) At the end of the week they do this thing called the Joseph Smith Experience, where you go off into the woods with your scriptures pray and then read to find revelation. Well I had left mine at home so I decided to pray and ask God if he was there, and all I could feel was the ground and hear the wind and the water. I was thinking I was right there was no God and I was angry and jealous of those around me because they had claimed they could feel the spirit. Anyway a week later I was waiting for my friend to get out of summer school, when my seminary teacher showed up and invited me inside. we talked for a little while, then he surprised me with a question that question was "How did you feel up at P.I.E.?" I answered "fine." he then replied with"You're not telling me the truth." I looked at him with a surprised look on my face. He then said "How was the Joseph Smith Experience?" So I told him what had happened he then opened up his bible to 1st Kings 19:11-13 and told me to read. I was able to relate to that scripture, and from that point on I have decided to turn my life around and see what the church has. To offer me and from being brought back I can see the blessings in my life today and how much more happier I am. Now compared to how I was back then. I am so grateful for all of the trials I have in my life and I know, that they are there for a reason!

How I live my faith

Back home before I came out I was a primary teacher, ward missionary, and a family history worker. I try to be the best example I can be to those who are younger and older than me. I faithfully go to church every Sunday and love to serve others.
