Hi I'm Cameron

I was born and raised in Utah. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I participated in cross country and track and field all four years of my high school experience. I love to be outdoors. I have received my mission call to the Canada Montreal mission. I will leave for my mission on July 8th, 2015. I plan on attending Southern Utah University after I return.

Why I am a Mormon

My decision to be Mormon was a long process. Despite being born to parents that are fully active in the church, I had to decide for myself whether or not I wanted to follow their way. All of us, born into the church or not, are converted by the same Spirit. As I grew up and began to explore the church and its teachings I began to feel that Spirit. That consistent confirmation of the doctrines and principles I was discovering caused my heart to be softened and my mind to be opened. This was a long and gradual process. A testimony does not come from one big experience, yet, small and simple truths that are testified to you by the Holy Ghost, God's heavenly messenger. In my search for truth I found a growing commitment to serve and honor God. Even today, the Lord helps me and teaches me. My testimony is ever growing as well as my desire to share what I have felt and experienced. I am a Mormon because God has touched my heart. I am a Mormon because Jesus Christ loves me enough to suffer all my pain,my sorrow, and my sins. I am a Mormon because in that same Heavenly Being I am saved.

How I live my faith

I have been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints all of my life. I make an honest effort to show my faith and devotion to Jesus Christ inside and especially outside of Sunday church. I believe faith is demonstrated by always trusting in God and His son Jesus Christ. I always try to remain humble and open to the teachings of the Spirit. Being worthy to receive teachings of the Spirit allows you to act under the direction of God. Making an effort to always act on these promptings is how I live my faith.
