Hi I'm Spencer C. Shepherd

I'm Texas grown. I am a Return Missionary from the Scottsdale, Arizona Mission. I'm an Eagle Scout. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am from Texas; born and raised. I am a football player, always have been, always will be. I love the Oklahoma Sooners. I am the oldest of four boys in my family. we all live with my parents, that is until I flew to Utah, to begin serving my mission. I am an Eagle Scout. I am a member of the Order of The Arrow. I graduated High School in May 2014 and took one class at BYUI. I am now a Return Missionary for the Arizona Scottsdale Mission. That being said si have a new found love for my Heavenly Father and His Son Jesus Christ. My Mission changed me and set me on a coarse. A coarse that is straight and one that if I will comply to being obedient will lead me to Eternal Happiness with my Family and God above. I'm a firm believer that it's the little things you do that make the great ones come to pass. It's the daily doing what's right and not abandoning your fellow man that you really grow toward God and overcome your challenges. I have had many trials and I'm not going to say I have already passed them all, but what I can say is that I know what to do to overcome trials in the future. It's exactly what I did before, and that's rely on Him. Trust in God above for He is loving and mighty to save. My true happiness came from sharing the Gospel with others. I will continue to serve the Lord as best I can meanwhile I will work toward my next mission. I hope one day to be married and sealed. The only challenge is that it calls for the agency of another person...

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon, because there has never been a "true-er" thing in my life. I know that I have a loving Heavenly Father, who wants me to live with him again. I know that through him and his Son, Jesus Christ, I am saved. I know that Heavenly Father is all powerful, and has performed miracles in my life. 9 months ago. I submitted my missionary application. I received a letter a few weeks later, saying I needed to loose 40 lbs in order to go. This really hit me hard. I had never ever dieted before in my life. However, I knew that if the lord would have of me, I would loose the weight. I lost 20 lbs and had my mission application resubmitted. I then received it and was told to loose the last 20 in order to go to the MTC. Well, I am glad to say that I did. I received my call to Scottsdale Arizona (Spanish Speaking) and I got to the MTC on January 21st, 2015.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by purely action. When I graduated, I had hundreds (not an exaggeration) of service hours on my resume. I was deacon Quorum and teacher Quorum presidents, as well as Priest Quorum 1st assistant in my youth. When I turned 18, I received the Melchizedek Priesthood, and got set apart as a Missionary for this church on January 18th, 2015. Before my mission I was always active, I helped when and where ever I was needed. I participated in Sacrament almost every week and went with the missionaries every time I got the chance. I now live my faith 24/7. I am a missionary for this amazing church in the Scottsdale Arizona Mission. I love it everyday of my life. I could not have made a better decision than to serve a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

What is the Book of Mormon?

Spencer C. Shepherd
The Book of Mormon is another testament of our savior Jesus Christ. It is a record of the people in the Americas before Christopher Columbus arrived. It has prophets that received revelation from God and they wrote in brass plates. The books were then compacted and together they all formed the Book of Mormon. The Book of Mormon is easily my favorite book of all time and it along with the Bible prophesy of Jesus Christ our Savior. I want and know that all people should read it and pray about its truthfulness. I took it upon my self to read and pray about it. I found it was true and it has only blessed my life since. Along with prayer reading the Book of Mormon is the most important thing in this Gospel. I love it and while reading I know every body will feel the love of our Heavenly Father. Show more Show less
