Hi I'm Kay Cherrington

I grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah. I am a former high school teacher and I taught water fitness for over 20 years. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love a Family History and Genealogy. I served at the LDS Family History Library in Sal Lake City, for almost 4 years on the British Isles floor as a Church Service Missionary. My husband also served there. We have been called on an LDS mission in London, England to work with the young adults, beginning in February of 2015. I am the mother of six children and grandmother of 14.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I love the teachings of Christ and his gospel. The Mormon Church helps you in every phase of your life to to become and be a better person. I grew up with a Catholic father and a Mormon mother. I saw different aspects of both religions. I was baptized in the Mormon Church and know it's teachings are true. I love the way I feel when I attend church and attend the temple. I love how everyone helps each other. The Mormon Church helps me be the best person that I can be.

How I live my faith

I grew up in the Mormon Church. I have served as a Cub Scout leader, Young Women's president and teacher. I was president of the women's group of our ward. I worked many times as the Activities Committee Director of our church, planning parties and activities for people to meet and enjoy getting together. I do my best to read my scriptures every day and attend the temple often. I love Family History and researching my ancestors. I'm in the process of writing a book about my great grandparents. I love to teach others how they can find their ancestors. I love being a wife, mother and grandmother.
