Hi I'm Jake Yorgason

I'm a musician, an actor, a student, and a daydreamer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints my entire life. I love this gospel. I have an incredible love for music. I play piano, saxophone, guitar, ukulele, drums, and I love to sing. I love using my musical talents to bring others closer to God and help them feel the spirit. I am attending college at Utah Valley University, and I take a camera everywhere I go. I like turtles.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I know that this is the one true gospel on the earth. This church makes me happy and gives me assurance that I will be with my family and the ones I love for all eternity. I'm a Mormon because the feeling that the spirit brings is absolutely incredible. I love that feeling and I want to have that feeling every day for the rest of eternity. Through living the commandments, I know that I can do that.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by doing the little things. Not only for myself, but for others as well. I love being around people and helping them in any way that I can! I also love the scriptures very much. Aside from playing music, I feel the Spirit more than ever when I am reading the scriptures. They are the word of God, and they can help us get through any problem we are going through in life. The things they teach and the stories they tell are all true, and I have a testimony of that.

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

Jake Yorgason
This is a subject that makes me incredibly happy. We believe that through priesthood power, families can be sealed together for time and all eternity. Death will not separate us. I love the idea and fact that I will marry a woman one day, and that that marriage will never end as long as we are sealed together in the right place and by the right authority. Show more Show less
