Hi I'm Jess

I'm from the Philippines. I grew up in Baguio City with my parents and I am a Latter-day Saint.

About Me

I took up Bachelor of Science in Hospitality and Tourism Management in a university in the Philippines. I love playing sports like softball and volleyball. I also love collecting scrapbook materials and cute papers.

Why I am a Mormon

I chose to be a Latter-day Saint because I have gained a personal testimony that it is indeed the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. I was born of the covenant but my parents allowed us to be taught by the full-time missionaries which I am so grateful about. And so, I had that desire to know if it is true especially The Book of Mormon. I prayed about it a lot of times and I didn't receive a direct answer from Him saying that "Yes, it is true", but the feeling of joy, peace, and contentment was different. It was a feeling of being loved and cared so much by our loving Heavenly Father and His Son Jesus Christ and I know that that feeling is the Holy Ghost testifying that it is indeed true.

How I live my faith

I am a ward missionary, indexer, and arbitrator in our ward. As a ward missionary, I always find time to work with the full-time missionaries. During the lesson, they would allow me to share my knowledge about a specific lesson to the people they're teaching. Aside from that, I would also have the opportunity to share my personal testimony which would inspire them. It's also a way for me to fellowship them as a member of the church. As an indexer and arbitrator, I help the Family History Department through indexing and arbitration program of the church. I would submit names for the dead. I also attend Family History firesides and workshops to increase my knowledge about the work.
