Hi I'm Alyssa

I grew up in Blackfoot, Idaho, USA, and I am proud to be a Mormon!

About Me

I have two sisters and one brother. I graduated high school in 2014. After my mission, I plan to go to a cosmetology school then to BYU-I. I love hiking and camping and spending time with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the gospel, but I haven't always been very active in it. I now choose to follow His gospel because of the happiness it brings to me. Having become inactive and not following the various aspects of the gospel, I know how unhappy I was, and I can now see the difference that was made in my life when I changed the path I was following, simply by following more closely the example that Jesus Christ has set for me. I know that Jesus Christ lives and loves us all. We are all children of God, and I know He loves each of us. The power of the Atonement is incredible. Through it, we are able to repent and ask for forgiveness, accomplish seemingly impossible tasks, and continue to learn and grow in so many ways! The feeling of being forgiven is nearly inexplicable. To have the guilt and negativity washed away, is like starting fresh again and being given another chance to do better. I have felt this deep forgiveness, and the blessings I have received because of it and changing different aspects of my life are innumerable, and I am so grateful for each of them. I know that this church is the true, restored gospel of Jesus Christ, and I know it is on the earth today because of the prophet, Joseph Smith, Jr., and the faith he had in God and His son, Jesus Christ. Being a member and being converted to His gospel has brought me countless blessings, and it will continue to do so, as long as I continue to live faithfully according to the principles of the gospel.

How I live my faith

I have served in the youth program's presidency several times. I have enjoyed participating in various service projects throughout my youth, and I continue to do so.
