Hi I'm Tyrone

I love sports, I love my family, and I love being a Mormon.

About Me

I was raised in Northern Utah, but have lived in California, Mexico, and Peru. I currently live just outside Washington DC, and am selling software for a start-up company to save for college. I am working to return to Peru as a full-time missionary for the church. I love to play football, baseball, lacrosse, and I love to wrestle. I love working with my hands, building things, and facing challenges!

Why I am a Mormon

I haven't always loved the church. I was raised a member of this church, but I never really attended because I wanted to. My parents were both members, but they had their own personal struggles that affected the children directly. I never felt much peace in my home. I correlated this directly to the church and therefore decided it wasn't for me. In Utah, the majority of all my friends were members of the church. During my junior year of high school I moved to California. I learned quickly of all the small blessings that I had taken for granted living in Utah. Things like moral standards, and general life blessings that come from following the commandments were not commonplace in California, and I never recognized I had them in Utah, because almost all my friends had them! After moving back to Utah my senior year of high school, I made better friends, and decided to start going to church actively, and to serve a 2 year mission for the church. After leaving on my mission, I saw so many miracles. I was forced into a position where I had to truly seek to find if the church was true. After a lot of studying, serving, and pondering. My heavenly father prompted me to correct all my past mistakes. I began to do so by returning home from my mission to repent of my sins. After doing this I was able to feel the spirit of god completely unrestrained, and I came to the knowledge that god lives, that he loves us, and that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is his church. I now continue to change daily to become more like my father in heaven, because I love him, and because I am so grateful for the atonement of Jesus Christ that allows me to feel peace every day, regardless of my past mistakes, and sins. In my life I have experienced many amazing things, like a national wrestling championship and the comradery of amazing friends. But nothing I have ever experienced can compare to the love, peace, acceptance, and purity that I feel from the Mormon Church.

How I live my faith

I try to live like Jesus did. I read of him, ponder on his life and example, and do my best to love others as he did. I study the scriptures, and pray to my heavenly father daily, and he blesses me with his spirit and guidance in my life. He helps me to overcome weaknesses, and to face my trials with courage. I am currently serving as a full-time missionary in Lima, Perú. I dedicate all my time and effort in helping others repent of their sins and be baptised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
