Hi I'm Rayann Brown

I am from Wyoming. I'm serving a mission in Russia. I went to BYU. I love spending time outdoors with my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the oldest of 7 kids. I love spending time with my family! I love riding horses, hiking, and fishing in the mountains! I have a general class ham radio license and love to talk to people all over the world! I play the violin and the piano.Soccer is my favorite sport, I've played it for about 8 years. I was studying at Brigham Young University to be an Elementary teacher, but I currently I am serving a full time mission for the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in St. Petersburg, Russia! I am very happy to be serving the Lord!

Why I am a Mormon

I was blessed to be born into a family that was already strong members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I grew up praying everyday, reading the scriptures every day, and going to church every week with my family. My parents have always been examples to me who have have lived what they believe and always try to do what God wants them to. They have helped me grow up to know what is wrong and what is right. But there comes a point in your life when you can no longer lean on your parent's testimony. You need to know for yourself if what you have been following and living is true or not, especially after you leave home. So I took it upon myself to read the entire Book of Mormon and pray to ask Heavenly Father if the Book of Mormon is true, if Joseph Smith was a true Prophet, and if the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saint is the true church on the Earth today. And I got my answer. I know with all my heart that this is the true church. That is why I have continued to follow its teachings even when life gets hard. That is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith every day of my life. It is very important to me that others understand my values and know what I stand for. I grew up in a place where there were not very many youth that were members of the church; however, it was always important to me that my life reflected what I believed. I always tried to be an example in my actions, to be friendly to everyone, to always be happy and smiling, and to participate in activities that were uplifting such as school service projects. I helped out every year with the blood drives and green way clean ups. At BYU I am in charge of organizing Monday night Family Home Evening group activities for a group of 20 young single adults. We always share a spiritual message and then do a fun activity together. It is really fun to be at BYU where there are so many youth that are wonderful examples to me. My friends truly uplift me and I hope that I am a positive example to them as well.
