Hi I'm Elder Jacob R. Woodruff

I grew up in Utah, I am a semi-professional Military Simulation Airsofter, I'am a Mormon

About Me

I'am the youngest out of 2, me and my sister Shannon. My mum's Diana Holley, the greatest mother in the world, Shannon and I have two half siblings, Angie my half sister and Ryan my half brother. I was a scoutmaster for my ward before being called to the Romania/Moldova mission the happiest mission in the world. As previously stated, my friends and I are semi-professional Airsofters, we will officially form our airsoft group when we get home from our missions. We play as OpFor, or opposition forces, we basically specialize in being the bad guys in airsoft games. I love a good story, whether it be a book, an anime or a video game, not as big a fan of Hollywood films as they are getting too predictable.

Why I am a Mormon

Well, I actually use to hate going to church, but somehow, I found that my life was going downhill, I contemplated killing myself, more than once. But I took a look in the mirror, and I said: "What are you doing?" I saw my patriarchal blessing and I found myself reading it, then somehow, my bishop got me to speak with him, and slowly over the years, he got me to church, and I found, the more I read the book of Mormon, the more I wanted to read the book of Mormon, the more I prayed, the more I was comforted and at peace. Why am I a Mormon? Because I know, I know that Jesus is the Christ and that, there is no way, I could live my life, if he wasn't there to hold me up. I don't know everything, but I know that God and Christ put people in our lives to help us get back to the right path, but we still have our agency. He cries to us "Here I am, walk this way to me" but we still have our agency, we still must make the choice. One little prayer, one little passage from the Book of Mormon, one little hope, even though its a million to one, will lead to the answers that we seek and more importantly, to peace to the happiness that everyone wants.

How I live my faith

Oh man, well, I was a primary teacher, then a scoutmaster at the age of 25, yeah I know, my bishop didn't like me. Just kidding, I wouldn't trade my time as scoutmaster for anything. Right now, as I write this I am in the MTC in Provo prepping for my mission to Romania. I love the scriptures, and its strange how reading in a book can somehow make your life so easy... Thats the strength of the gospel. I also love singing, I will always sing in ward choir when ever I get the chance to.

How can we increase our faith in Jesus Christ?

Elder Jacob R. Woodruff
"Faith is like a little seed, if planted it will grow" This is a children's song, simple right? How do you nurture a flower? With water, light, air and time. So must we nurture our faith, little by little. Read the scriptures. Pray about what you read. Remember what you have personally recived, what has the Lord told you? And the hardest one of all, time. God answers his questions in his own time, and like a flower must take time to grow, so must you also take time to let your faith grow. Show more Show less
