Hi I'm Ronda

I grew up in Huntington Beach, CA. I am the second youngest of 8 living kids. I am a mom . I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am writer at heart. Poetry, journaling etc. I prefer pen & paper over technology any day. I am a Heritage Maker….though it is a company I also believe it's a way of life. I love preserving my family history through photos and their stories. Ahhh, family such a treasure. I love working on family history and learning about the lives of those that came before me and helped to shape who I am. Though I was born in Hawaii, I only lived there for 3 months. My family settled in CA and thats where my memories are. I love being from a large family and the chaos that ensues when we're all together. I am married and have 5 living children ages - soon to be 16 to soon to be 3, with 1 miscarriage at about 15wks. gestation this past Summer. I love music and think it's the language of the soul. I am a stay at home mom, although I think the title needs to be changed - because I am a mom on the go. I go to PTA meetings, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, soccer, piano lessons, baseball, church variety show practice, Disneyland, Costco, Target etc. and sometimes for myself Stroller Strides. I love sharing things I am passionate about with others.

Why I am a Mormon

Though I grew up a member of the church and was baptized at 8 yrs. old my parents and oldest siblings were taught by the first missionaries to Guam. Because of their choice to be baptized, I grew up with music and faith building experiences that helped to shape my own testimony. Up until I was about 16 I went to church and related activities because that's what we did. At 16 I started listening more with my heart to the Prophet and other church leaders. That's when my testimony of my Savior Jesus Christ, His gospel and all it encompasses blossomed. That's why I teach it to my children. That's why I live it every day. That's why I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I am a co-teacher of 3 to 4 yr. olds at church. I love the bond that is formed in sharing my testimony with them. I love to see them learn and grow. I am a visiting teacher - which is just us women checking in on each other. Sometimes it's hard if you've never met the person, but as soon as you meet and find things in common it's not hard at all. I also like to go with the full time missionaries on teaching appointments. Since I was married young, I did not serve a full time mission, so it's fun to help them. I love attending the Newport Beach Temple either with my husband or friends. The peace and love that I feel there heals and strengthens me.

What do Mormons believe happens to us after we die? What do Mormons believe about life after death?
