Hi I'm Jessica

I grew up in Ghana but currently living in Belgium, and I'm a Mormon

About Me

I love reading, I mostly enjoy reading science fictions, fantasy novels (series) and anything captivating. I work in a nursing home, I love my job; there is always something new to learn. I like spending time with friends and trying out new dishes from different cultures. I love meeting people and making new friends.

Why I am a Mormon

Currently, I'm the only active member of the church in my family. I believe the Church teaches the true principles of Jesus Christ. Through the teachings of the Church, I have come to know the true purpose of this life. Have you ever asked yourself why are you on this earth or what the purpose of your life is? I believe my Heavenly Father loves me and He has a plan for me just as He has a plan for you. The church has made me a better person. I can now face challenges of life with courage and strength because I know I'm never alone. I have The Lord to guide me through. Sometimes life is tough and that's when I truly feel the love and comfort of my Savior Jesus Christ. Following this faith makes me much stronger and peaceful person.

How I live my faith

I'm always excited about Sundays, it's when i get the chance to go to church and learn more about Christ. During Sacrament, I take the opportunity to ponder and reflect on the love Jesus Christ has for me. I enjoy serving people, I'm always at my best when I'm in the service of others, that's when i get the time to get to truly know them and appreciate them. The scriptures, like the Book of Mormon has always been my source of support in times of weakness, or when i need an answer to something or when I feel alone.

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Jessica
I have always wanted to serve a Mission, it was never a requirement but my own desire. The gospel of Jesus Christ has brought me so much happiness that I don't want to keep it all to myself but to shear it with others who are also looking for it and are willing to accept it. Imagine having the recipe to a very delicious cake and you know your family or yours friends will love to have it and try it out themselves! Wouldn't you be willing to shear this recipe with them? I would! We are all children of our heavenly father and deserve to know of His goodness and kindness. I have already received my Mission call and now I'm counting till the day a leave to serve. I will be away for 18 months, dedicating my life solely for the the work of the Lord. I will be leaving my family, friends, work and all personal activities behind. I'm doing this willingly. I know there is people out there who are waiting to here and receive the Gospel and I can't wait. Show more Show less
