Hi I'm Kendall Runyan

I live in Folsom CA, I'm going on a mission to Porto Portugal. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I graduated highschool in 2013. I study communications at BYU Idaho. I am currently serving a mission in Porto Portugal, Portuguese speaking. I love Public Speaking, baking, camping, and movies. I want to have a career in the film industry some day.

Why I am a Mormon

Faith hasn't always been easy to me. I am a logic and reason based person so it took a lot of time and effort to understand the concept of faith. I have never had any mind blowing spiritual experiences, but it has been made very clear to me the truthfulness of the Atonement and God's plan for me. This gospel gives me so much comfort. Sometimes when I see the world around me I get discouraged at how unfair it all seems. But I know that through the Atonement, none of that will matter. I have a strong testimony of Christ's love for all of us, and how he can help us to change and be better. I still have a lifetime to learn how to become converted to Christ, and his gospel.

How I live my faith

I am very active in my ward at church. I served as the pianist. I recently decided to show my devotion and faith to God by serving as a full time missionary. I am going to Portugal to bring the Portuguese people unto Christ.

What is faith?

Kendall Runyan
I think the concept of faith is really beautiful. We were sent here to this earth to learn and grow. Just as all of us one day need to leave the comfort of our parents home and learn how to be independent, the same principle applies with our Heavenly Father. For us to grow it was nessecary that we leave his presence and that we would have that seperation. That seperation teaches us humility and trust. We cannot know everything in this life there will always be a certain amount of uncertainty. However as we learn to trust and have confidence in the little seeds of truth that we are given, our faith and understanding will grow and we will have the confirmation that we are on the right path. I heard a definition of faith that I really liked once. Faith is the trust in eternal truths that cannot be proven with imperical evidence, and the valor to act on that trust. Show more Show less
