Hi I'm Don

I'm a Building Contractor. I'm a father, grandfather, great grandfather and the head of the "tribe of don!"

About Me

My name is Don. I am a father, a grandfather, and a great-grandfather. My numerous family call themselves the tribe of Don. I am a home builder by profession, have a small company which I built myself, and enjoy running my business. I am a Mormon. My home backs up on a five-acre field, which has a pond. My favorite pets are the Canada geese which frequent the field and pond. They come in flocks year after year and spend months living near us. I love watching God’s creatures in their magnificence.

Why I am a Mormon

I want to state my Mormon beliefs which are dear to my heart. Jesus is the Christ, and the Savior of the world. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints teaches the true doctrines of Christ. We have a true prophet and quorum of Twelve Apostles on earth today. Joseph Smith is the prophet of the Restoration of Christ’s true Church. The Book of Mormon is true scripture. The Holy Bible is true scripture. The true priesthood of God is on the earth today. People are being healed through the power of the priesthood in our day, as Jesus healed people through the priesthood power in His day. I add my voice to the many who invite all seekers of truth to investigate these precious and powerful teachings. The kind of Joy I experience daily can be had by others, and we wish to share it with everyone. God bless your search with light, happiness, and success.

How I live my faith

I love my participation in church. I have been a lay leader in my congregation, and a missionary. It was a very satisfying way to bring up our children. We are people of faith. We are very grateful for the principle of eternal marriage which seals our family together for eternity. Now my wife and I are in our “eighties” and have been married for over 60 years. We have wonderful experiences daily with our many children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Just last week we welcomed two more, a great-grandson and a great-granddaughter to our ever-growing “Tribe.” We had a family talent show in which we all participated by playing an instrument, singing, or reading a composition. We love our Sunday evening suppers, with lots of talk, music, games, and love flowing. We enjoy a vacation together each summer. When the home I built for our family became 50 years old, we had a “Birthday Party” for our house! Love and cheer abound in our family.
