Hi I'm Leila

I live in Hawaii. I'm a lifeguard and love teaching swimming lessons to little kids. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have completed one year of college. In my free time I love to spend time with my family and extended family. Having a large family has helped me to learn to love many people, and welcome others in as part of my family group. I love reading, sewing, spending time outside, swimming at the beach, hiking, climbing trees, etc.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into this church, and so I have always had this church as a part of my life. Just because I was born into this church, doesn't mean I didn't have to gain my own testimony. I learned as I grew up that I couldn't rely on my Mum and Dad's belief, I had to know for myself. I know this church is true because I know Jesus Christ is real. I can feel his love for me, and for every one of us. I can feel that love when I go to church. I know the Book of Mormon is true because when I read it I can feel that love of Christ for all of us.

How I live my faith

Being in the youth program, I have had many opportunities to serve. I was able to serve on youth comittees to organize activities that brought hundreds of youth in my community together to unify and strengthen each others love and faith. I was amazed to see the Lord help as activites planned by our youth comittee (youth ages 14-18) work perfectly.
