Hi I'm Eric

Raised in Louisiana, Utah, and Washington; Violinist, athlete, Eagle Scout, missionary in Sweden, 18. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've played violin since 5th grade and played in a chamber orchestra and a youth symphony. I'm a competitive swimmer and was on the water polo team for one season. I'm an Eagle Scout. I love reading and writing. I am now serving a mission in the Sweden Stockholm mission after which I will attend BYU.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in an LDS family, and was baptized when I was 8, but that's not why I'm a Mormon. I'm not just going with the flow. After years of carefully studying the scriptures, including the Bible, the Book of Mormon, the Pearl of Great Price, and Doctrine and Covenants, I have come to truly love and appreciate the Gospel. My attitude and personality has been influenced by this church more than anything else. The most profound thing about this church is that it is so personal to everyone. I know that when I pray, I am being heard and answered. I know that God communicates with us through the Holy Ghost and I always pray that I can have that spirit with me, because I don't want to miss out on a single thing He has to say. Believe me, there's a lot he has to say.

How I live my faith

The gospel is a way of life. I am currently serving a 2 year mission in the Sweden, Stockholm Mission, and I am striving to apply the principles found in the scriptures every day, and to give careful heed to the counsel of the modern prophets and apostles of the church. I have served in many church callings including Deacon's and Teacher's quorum second counselor, Teacher's quorum president, and second adviser to the Bishop when I was a priest.
