Hi I'm Katelynn

I was born and raised in SLC, Utah. I play college soccer, and am called to serve in the Australia Perth Mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Currently, I am attending a Community College in Wyoming on an athletic and academic scholarship, playing for the Women's Soccer Team. I love soccer. It is my passion. I plan to get my Associate's Degree in General Studies, then further my degree at a University. It has been a pretty big change coming from such a big city in Utah with a big population of Mormons, to a small town in Wyoming, having a decrease in the Mormon population, but I have found the church is the same and wonderful wherever you go. I can't wait to serve my mission in the Australian Perth Mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I have grown up as a member of this church, but just like anyone else have had questions and doubts. However, I was taught to study The Book of Mormon and The Bible and pray about the truthfulness to know if this is the true church of God. I have been reading The Book of Mormon almost every single day since I was young, and I have come to know that it is true without a doubt. I know that God hears and answers our prayers in His own time and in His own way, but also in the best way for us individually.

How I live my faith

I have just gotten my mission call to serve as a full-time missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Australia Perth Mission. There, I will serve the people by teaching them of Christ.

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Katelynn
I think of my Father in Heaven as a family man. He loves His children and is so happy when we choose to include Him in our lives, and make the right decisions to get back to living with Him one day. He has given us families to give us strength, comfort, brothers and sisters we can rely on and love. Not every family is perfect, but it helps remind us of the eternal sense that everyone on this earth is part of a huge and eternal family. Show more Show less
