Hi I'm Rebeca Martinez

I'm from Illinois. I am serving a mission in Mexico Hermosillo. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a student at Brigham Young University and I am majoring in nursing. During high school, I was part of the track team as a shot put and discus thrower. I have traveled often to Guatemala and Mexico.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that this Church is the true church of God once again restored on this earth. To me, the gospel is everything. It gives me a sense of peace and happiness that I have never felt in any other place. In the Church, we learn that families can be together forever--if we live righteous and obedient lives. I follow His gospel because I want to be with my family forever, through all eternity.

How I live my faith

Through the gospel of Jesus Christ, I have come to know that I am a child of God and I have great worth and potential. Whenever I talk to someone--even for a small moment--I do my best to make sure they feel like they are of great worth and value. No one deserves to feel like they are worthless. Everyone has a grand and glorious potential; they have the choice to realize it or not. Since I have been greatly blessed from the gospel, I have chosen to share this glad message by serving a full-time mission. I have been called to serve in Hermosillo, Mexico for 18 months. I know that by doing this it will show many people that something good must come from this gospel if I have decided to volunteer my time and strength to serve the Lord for a short time.
