Hi I'm Kayla

I was born in Provo, Utah. I have Type 1 Diabetes. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I live with my family and am currently in high school. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I have had Type 1 Diabetes for six years. I love listening to music, being in seminary, and laughing.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into this incredible church. Years later after I was baptized I came to develop a burning testimony of this gospel. It was seminary that lit my fire, and helped me further understand beautiful gospel principles so that I could apply them in my life. Other experiences in my life have helped shape me into who I am, and what I know is true, and who I can be with the Savior helping me. I now know that this gospel is true. I know that Jesus Christ is our Savior and that he paid the price of us, so we can repent and come unto him. Our Heavenly Father loves us beyond comprehension. Joseph Smith was an instrument in restoring the gospel to the earth. President Thomas S. Monson is the living prophet on the earth. I know that The Book of Mormon is true, and I invite all to read it. I know that this gospel is true and that is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

This past year I have been an active member in my community through service on a city youth council. I am currently serving the church in various callings. Learning more about Jesus Christ and striving to become more like him is one way I live my faith. Praying to Heavenly Father, studying the scriptures, participating in my church meetings, attending seminary to learn more about the gospel, and serving others are just some other ways I live my faith.

How can we increase our faith in Jesus Christ?

One way we can increase our faith in Jesus Christ is by studying about his life and his perfect example for us and then apply what we learn in our lives. As we apply and become more like the Savior we will see how much it blesses our lives and we will gain more faith in him. Show more Show less

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

Yes! God loves us and continues to communicate with us today, just like He did with Moses and Abraham. God wants us to follow His plan so that we can have eternal happiness and peace, He gives us apostles and prophets to help guide us and give us direction in our lives. Show more Show less
