Hi I'm Lexy

I now serve as a missionary in the Pennsylvania Pittsburgh mission. I love my savior and I am anxiously engaged with his work.

About Me

I was born and raised in Sacramento CA by the most loving parents I could ask for. I am the youngest of 6 siblings, 5 sisters and 1 brother. My brother however passed away from a tragic snow boarding accident when I was 3 years old. But I am grateful to know that I will see him again and our family will all be together again with him. Growing up, since I was 5 all the way to the age of 19, I was blessed with the opportunity to perform in the best dancing and singing company ever! I learned and grew so much, made the best of friends, had the chance to travel and tour, and best of all; was able to serve others with my talents. Dancing and singing was my life, next to the Gospel of course. Before coming out to my mission I finished 2 years up at BYU-Idaho and I LOVE it and I encourage every student to go there! Kay maybe not every student, it would get a little crowded. But I highly recommend it indeed.

Why I am a Mormon

Its hard to say how I feel about this Gospel in such a short message. I guess I just want to start out saying, that I KNOW that this Gospel is true! I have felt my saviors love SO many times because of searching for the truth. I know the difference of living a disobedient life to living an obedient one, and I am so much happier and I know that with obeying Gods commandments and striving to be like my savior, that I have the spirit with me at all times as my companion. I know that my family was picked especially just for me from Heavenly Father because he knows who and what is best for me. And I know that we will be together for eternity because we were sealed in the beautiful temple of the Lord. I know that it is the house of the Lord and that it is the BEST place for us to feel the spirit. I have a testimony that Joseph Smith was and is a true prophet of God. I have been taught and have taught his story so many times and I know that he saw the father and his son. Therefore I have a testimony that the Book of Mormon is the word of God and is written for our day, in these last days. I have read it many times and I feel the truth burn in my heart. I look up to all of the prophets who never gave up on their faith when they were being tormented or ignored. Heavenly Fathers always delivered them. And I have a testimony that Jesus is my Savior. He is the almighty and the redeemer. He paid the price for all of our sins and has felt ALL of our pains and sorrows. I know that because of him, we can live again, because he is the Gift of the World.

How I live my faith

As of right now, I am living my faith by serving a proselyting mission. It is my duty and calling of the Lord to devote all of my time to Him and his children for 18 months. It is my purpose and calling to share his Gospel with the people in the area I have been called to go to. While I am out serving my mission and doing my best to teach and serve the people, it is so important for me to be taught as well and to learn more about Christs Gospel everyday and strive to be more like Him... EVERYDAY. On top of learning and studying of the Gospel everyday, I am called to serve a Spanish speaking mission. It has been a little hard and slow for me, but I am definitely learning patience and building my faith that the Lord will help me. I know that while I am here, in some time my Spanish will do justice in helping someone in need. It doesn't matter if it will happen 1 time or 50 times. It will make a difference. It may have even happened already without me knowing it.
