Why I am a Mormon

i am part of this wonderful church because it brings me much joy and happiness. it also gives me a hope that even after death i can still live with my family once again....actually, i was born in the church..and i attended several gospel classes such as seminary n institute n it has help me gain a testimony about the church...ive read the book of mormon and ive prayed about it n i know that it is another testament of jesus christ..i also know we have a leaving prophet today whose name is thomas s monson...i believe that joseph smith was a true prophet of God and that he really saw God and his son Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

am an elder in the church so i always come to church early to magnify my priesthood duties. due to lack of enough youngmen(Aaronic priesthood) in my ward i always come to church early to prepare, pass or bless the sacrament.. am serving currently as the 2nd councellor in the youngmen presidency in my ward and also serving as a seminary teacher and also a teacher in the investigators class in my ward.i alsocome to the church every saturdays to clean the church..

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

moziggy
the atonement is the great sacrafice that Jesus Christ made to pay for our sins and to overcome death...the fall of adam brought two types of death into this world, that is the spiritual death n the physical death. the spiritual death is the seperation from God-(i.e when we sin) and the physical death is the seperation of the spirit and the body. if this two types of sin were not overcomed by jeses christ's atonement, two consequences would have resulted. 1. our spirit will be separated from our body forever. 2. we would not be able to return back to our heavenly father.
