Hi I'm Emma

I'm a mountain girl, a Debussy-lover and peanut butter fiend. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a Christmas-music-in-July and sprinkles-on-everything kind of girl. I was a university student, majoring in history, and I love going on vacation anywhere where history happened--Boston, Paris...Disneyland. At the moment, I am a missionary serving in Tokyo Japan and I am loving every second of it--the sunsets, the bike riding, the gospel, the people, and of course, the melon pan;) I am so happy to be here and serving my God.

Why I am a Mormon

I like the hope it gives me. Sometimes bad things happen to good people, sometimes life is really hard and dark and lonely and you feel like there is no way out. But when I follow Jesus Christ, when I turn to Him instead of giving up, there is this light and hope that comes from somewhere beyond me and it's just very sweet. I love the Book of Mormon, and the joy and the mercy and the faith that it has inside of it. My faith in the Book of Mormon, and in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints as a whole, is something that anchors and strengthens my soul. That's why I like it so much.

How I live my faith

Right now I'm a missionary, meaning I have dedicated the next year and half (which is 788,400ish minutes for anyone who wants to know) to sharing my faith, full-time, away from home, with other people. I'll soon be going to Japan and sharing the gospel with the people there, and I'm super excited about that because my family is from there. I'll be able to go back where my story began (kinda) and share with others what has given me so much joy and peace.
