Hi I'm Alexa

I love my family, friends, and sports but not as much as this gospel! I am a convert. I am a missionary in Rancho Cucamonga, CA

About Me

First off I love my Heavenly Father. I absolutely love my family, no matter how confusing it is. It's full of step siblings, full siblings, half siblings, foster siblings, foster parents. You name it I have it. But no matter what happens we are still family. I love sports, with a passion. Food also holds a special place in my heart. I'm constantly eating throughout the day. I grew up Catholic and was converted to the LDS church about 3 years ago. I'm currently serving a mission in Rancho Cucamonga, California.

Why I am a Mormon

I did not grow up in this church. My dad was a devout Catholic and my mom was a Christian. Later in life I was placed with a foster family due to family issues. I was about 15 yrs old when I was first really introduced to the church. My foster family was LDS and I'd never seen or been apart of a fully functioning family where parents are still together and the family gets along and loves each other. I'd missed out for 15 years of my life and here this family took me in as their own and showed me what unconditional love was. I started to go to church with them and learning about the gospel. Learning about what made this family so amazing. I wanted to get baptized at 16 but my biological dad was against it. I waited until I turned 18 and was baptized 4 days later. Waiting 2 years made me appreciate this gospel so much more and gave me the time to understand it better. I still learn new things everyday but I am so grateful to have this gospel in my life. I never thought my biological family would be back in my life but now my relationship with them is better than ever. I know this gospel brings and keeps families together.

How I live my faith

I look for opportunities to serve others. If we are serving others we are serving Christ. I do my best to pray and study the scriptures everyday. Visiting the temple every week. Being apart of my ward and attending activities. Surrounding myself with those who can help me strengthen my testimony.
