Hi I'm Chase

I'm from Utah. I play college football. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love playing sports, particularly football, soccer and basketball. Last semester I played football at a smaller university in California. I'm now preparing to leave on a mission to Louisiana. I also enjoy being in the mountains and I do a lot of hiking, camping, hunting and fishing.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church so I wasn't necessarily a convert, but I like to think of myself as somewhat of a convert. I mean there comes a time in everyone's life where they have to decide for themselves what they believe. Throughout my whole life I always believed in the church but I never was really around anyone who had differing beliefs than me. My experience out in California in college totally changed my perspective on everything and made me truly love the gospel. I was surrounded by people who seemed lost or were looking for something but didn't know what it was. I had so many opportunities to share the gospel with others and bear my testimony of the atonement to them. Like everyone else, I'm not perfect and have made my fair share of mistakes. There came a time in my life where I felt so helpless and lonely because of the sins that I had committed. I had no where to turn but to my Father in Heaven. I finally let go of my pride and admitted that I needed His help. It was a process, but through the atonement I was able to repent for what I'd done and become clean again. The feeling of happiness and peace that the gospel has brought to my life is something that I cherish above all else and is something that I want everyone else to be able to experience.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by attending church each Sunday and fully participating in callings to go do home teaching and to help out with stake sports activities. I also try and attend all of the recreational and spiritual activities that my ward has throughout the week.
