Hi I'm Brittany

I am an avid reader, a swimmer, a pianist, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am from one of those stereotypical (*cough cough* huge) Mormon families! I am the second oldest child out of seven, which basically ensures that it is never quiet at my house! But I love my big family, and I wouldn't trade them for the world! I love to swim competitively, hike, quote movies, and eat "second breakfast!" I just finished my first semester at BYU-I, and I look forward to returning after my mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of the church all my life. But I am not a member simply because I have been raised in the church, I am a member because I have developed a testimony that this gospel is true! My testimony is far from perfect, and it is something that I continue to work on every single day, but the knowledge that I have strengthens me and brings me so much happiness! I have developed a personal relationship with my Heavenly Father through daily prayer, and I have felt His love for me on occasions too numerous to count. I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior, and when I strive to follow His example of love and selflessness, my love and appreciation for Him grows. In a world where there is so much darkness and confusion, the gospel of Jesus Christ has brought light and peace into my life, and I love that!

How I live my faith

I am currently preparing to serve a full-time mission for the church in Tokyo, Japan! I will have the opportunity to share what I believe to the people of Japan all day, everyday for 18 months! It will be a sacrifice to leave my family and schooling behind, but I am so excited to give my all to the Lord for that period of time. I also strive everyday to live my faith through small and simple things, like daily prayer and scripture study, as well as weekly church attendance!
