Hi I'm Jenny

I love my family and everyone I meet, missionary work, the outdoors, and working with special needs kids. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am serving the Lord in the Georgia Macon Mission. I absolutely love being a missionary and all the joy it brings to those I serve. I know that God has called me here to bring His loved children into His true church and experience the blessings that come from this restored gospel. Before my mission I attended Southern Utah University for a semester studying Elementary Education, but now I want to be a special education teacher, I love working with those cute special kids! I enjoy running, snow boarding, hiking, and spending quality time with family members and friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a Mormon my whole life, but I still had my own conversion. I remember as a child I would attend church because that's what my family did. I loved church, but I didn't know if it was true for myself. Once I entered into Young Womens I slowly started coming to realize the truth that this gospel has. My Junior year of high school I got really sick and the doctors didn't know what was wrong with me. This is when I fully turned my life to Christ because I knew that I couldn't get through it on my own. I have seen the power that Christ's atonement has on our lives and I know that He wants and will help us when we ask for His help. I'm now so grateful for that trial because of the relationship it gave me with My Heavenly Father and with my Savior.

How I live my faith

I have a full-time calling of being a missionary for 18 months of my life. And I love it!! For this calling I am to serve others and teach others the message of Christ's Restored Gospel. I have been called to serve in Georgia, and I love the people that I'm serving around! Nothing makes me happier than this work! I've grown closer to my Savior as I teach others about Christ; giving them comfort, joy, and hope.

Why don’t Mormons drink coffee, tea, or alcohol? What is the Mormon Church’s law of health and proper diet?

We believe that our bodies are a special gift from God, so we want to keep our bodies healthy and strong. In 1833 God gave a law of health to his servant Joseph Smith known as the Word of Wisdom. The word of Wisdom gives guidelines of what is good for our bodies and what is not. Another gift we have been given is the gift of agency. Tobacco, alcohol, coffee, tea, and illegal drugs all take away our agency and leave us dependent on these substances. If we avoid these things, God has promised us great physical and spiritual blessings. Show more Show less
