Hi I'm Fiona

I love travelling and going to gigs. I'm a nanny and a lover of all things music. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I'm number 4 of 6 kids and grew up in sunny Queensland. I fell into nannying when I lived in Canada and it has become a way for me to see the world. My true love is music. I especially love live music as it makes me feel ALIVE and hits me in the heart. I hope to become a one-man Irish band one day.

Why I am a Mormon

When you're born into a Mormon family it's somewhat easy to get taken along for the ride and to do what your parents want you to. However, there does come a point when you can't do that anymore and you need to decide whether you can continue on that ride or become your own person and find out the truth. I was lucky enough to spend some time in New York when I was 20. I was away from family and friends. It was during this time that I decided I wasn't going to attend a church and fill my life with its teachings if I didn't even know if it was true. I put scripture study and prayer to the test and came to know that Jesus Christ really does live and really does know me personally. He knows all my weaknesses and knows how to comfort me. Through the Holy Ghost I felt Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ's love for me. I later came to know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God. I love reading it and every time I pick it up I feel like it's the golden ticket. It has all the answers and I'm so lucky to have it in my life. I'm a mormon because I find amazing amounts of lasting happiness through the gospel of Jesus Christ which is found in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I'm a mormon because it makes me a better person. I know where I've come from, why I'm here on Earth and what's in store for me after death BECAUSE I'm a mormon.

How I live my faith

I have grown up as a mormon so my faith and the way I live go hand in hand. I try to instil the good values I was taught by my parents to the children that I nanny. I pray and study the Saviours teachings in the Book of Mormon and Bible every day which gives me strength to live my faith. At church I have a responsibility to look after the girls in youth. This includes activities on a week night and spiritual lessons on a Sunday as well as helping them achieve their goals.
