Hi I'm John Mills

I am from the USA. I am married and have five children and 16 grandchildren. I was a teacher and principal. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I married Krystal in 1972. We have five children and 16 grandchildren. Before retirement, I was a high school teacher of History, German, soccer coach, and Principal. I administered the implementation of the International Baccalaureat curriculum in our school. I was an adjunct instructor of History. Most all activities in my life have been centered in my family and church service. Our family loves to vacation together where you could often see us on our ATV's riding the trails and dunes of the Rocky Mountain region of the United States. My wife and I also enjoy traveling to far off places such as Hawaii, Europe, and China.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the tender feelings that I felt relative to the principles of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The Church of Jesus Christ is exactly what it purports to be which is Christ's own Church. I have come to know of this reality through prayer, study, and the application of the Church's doctrines, principles, teachings, and practices. I have put the Church to the test: "by their fruits, ye shall know...". God answers our prayers. He loves each of us as His children. He knows us and our innermost desires and personal yearnings. He longs to bless our lives with those things that are most important for our happiness in this life. His purpose for you and me is to bring each of us back into His presence. He is a God of order, yet is merciful because of the Atonement. I know that all mankind may be saved. And because our greatest joy comes in our families, Christ promises that this happiness and and these joys continue eternally in family units that are sealed by the power of His authority.

How I live my faith

My faith has been the guiding influence in all the decisions of my life and has brought the greatest happiness and joy that I have experienced. I have found great satisfaction in teaching the young people in my community the source of true happiness. I have enjoyed the times when I have worked in administrative capacities for the benefit of Church groups and I have equally enjoyed working with individuals. I have taught religious oriented lessons in my Church in one capacity or other my entire adult life, which has deepened my understanding of scriptures and their everyday applications in life.
