Hi I'm Zach

I grew up in Boulder City, Nevada. I will be serving a mission in the Argentina Buenos Aires South mission and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Two of my favorite hobbies are snowboarding and listening to music. Every winter my family and I go snowboarding. I love the way it makes me feel. Way up on the mountain I feel secluded from the rest of the world. All my problems go away and for one day it's just me, my board, and the snow. Not a day goes by that I don't listen to music. Music has always been an important part of my life. It is so fluid and versatile that it can fit any mood. It can get me excited or comfort me when I'm sad. I love music. So far I have gone to two and a half years of college and have earned by Associate's degree. I wish to continue my education and earn a Bachelor's degree in chemistry. It is my dream to one day become a Radiologist.

Why I am a Mormon

There are so many reasons why I have chosen to be a Mormon. People always ask me why I am so happy and I always respond with the same answer. I tell them my happiness comes from my participation in my church. I feel so blessed by being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. The gospel is amazing and serves as such a wonderful guideline! The Book of Mormon gives explicit instructions on how we should live our lives so that we can be happy. We also have a living prophet on the earth today. I know that the prophet receives personal revelation from God and directs the church accordingly. This is such a blessing. I also know that families can be together forever. It breaks my heart when a loved one of one of my friends dies and they are terribly sad because they don't think they will ever see them again. They will! It is so comforting to have this incredible knowledge. Of course, death is and will always be a sad thing, but we as members of the church know that our loved ones are in a better place and that they no longer have any pain or suffering. We also know that one day we will see them again. I am so proud and happy to be a member of His church. I feel the blessings of it every day!

How I live my faith

In high school I was a part of an organization called Youth Committee. This committee got together every month and planned events for the youth in our church. I am currently serving as a ward missionary in my ward and I love it! I get to serve with the full-time missionaries in my ward and it is a wonderful learning experience for me. I also participate in hometeaching which is always such a blessing and wonderful time.
