Hi I'm Jessica

Arkansas is my home. Color guard is my passion. Celestial glory is my goal. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 20 years old and serving an ASL mission in Sacramento California. Before I sent in my mission papers, I did a semester at the University of Central Arkansas majoring in psychology, but I plan to attend BYU after my mission. Besides the gospel, my biggest passion is color guard. There is nothing quite as rewarding as performing your heart out in front of a crowd. I also love photography and spending time with my friends and family. But most of all, I love my Savior, and I love his gospel.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because once the spirit testifies the truth of the gospel, there is no way to be anything else. I have experienced first and second hand what incredible happiness the gospel of Jesus Christ can bring to a persons life. I have never experienced happiness equivalent to the kind that comes from living the gospel and studying the word of God. I know without a doubt in my mind that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the true church. I know with a surety that Joseph Smith was a prophet and that he restored the gospel of Jesus Christ, and that the Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ. I know these things to be true because the spirit has testified this to me, and I cannot deny it. That is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

For he next 18 months I will be living my faith by preaching the gospel in American Sign Language to the incredible people of Sacramento California. I cannot think of any better way to show devotion to living the gospel, than to sacrifice a small portion of my life to help others come unto Christ. I have experienced such indescribable joy from being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, that I have an immense desire to make sure that every single person has that same opportunity. I want others to experience the pure happiness that comes from the gospel of Christ, and so I will live my faith by leaving everything behind and serving the Lord with all my might, mind, and strength. I will live my faith by being a missionary.
