Hi I'm Hermana Hollingshead

I'm a misionary serving in the Oaxaca Mexico Mission. I love serving in an area full of culture and I love sharing the gospel!

About Me

I am a sister missionary that is devoted to my family and faith. I love to teach. I love being part of the Lord's work here in Oaxaca! I have seen how this Gospel has changed my life and that of my family. I'll never give up on changing the world though the "good tidings of great joy" that I as a missionary get to share. I have no doubt the Savior is waching over us and helping us in this wonderful work. HIS wonderful work. Life is incredible when my time is dedicated to Him. I love it here in Oaxaca, and I love being a missionary!

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because Christs church has brought me more happiness and peace then anything worldly ever has or could. When I was younger I had little to worry about and my whole life was mostly fun and games. I went through the motions of prayer, scripture and church without much thought. Fortunately when I entered a second year of 6th grade in a charter school I was put in a situation that tested the belief system I grew up in, and in that moment I had to decide what I really believed. In that year I gained many personal testimonies. That I shouldn't swear, that education was important, that God is with us always and that he truly cares about us. These small truths became the foundation of my testimony, and now as a missionary I continue to gain more knowledge of Gods love, and his blessings as I have seen many lives change. I now have a strong faith in the Atonement of Jesus Christ and I am thankful for it every day. I now have knowledge that God speaks to us and answers our prayers even now, just as he did for Joseph Smith Jr. I have faith that His scriptures, especially the Book of Mormon holds answers for every question and it was written for all of us. I have faith in the words of the latter-day prophets and I know I can trust their council. One truth I know stronger than any other is that God lives! He lives and takes care of us. He lives and has a body of his own. He lives and has given us the opportunity to come back to him. We are his Children and he is our father. He wants us back, and we can make it! All we need to do is follow his commandments and truly repent when we mess up.

How I live my faith

I live what I believe by spending time serving inside the church and community. I'm a sister misionary, english tutor, humanitarian, companion, and I love to share my testimony. I love the temple and family history.

What is being a Mormon like?

Hermana Hollingshead
It is AWESOME! Being a Mormon can sometime be difficult because a lot of our beliefs are pressured by society, but If you have a testimony of Jesus Christ and His love for you then what society thinks tends to not matter anymore. Our beliefs are what keep us strong, faithful to God, and happy! Show more Show less
