Hi I'm Kaitlyn

I'm a college student. I love music. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I play the violin in my university symphony. I love to read. Especially children's novels. I am working on a degree in Elementary Education. I love going to comedy clubs and laughing until I cry. I love going on runs with my friends. My family is my everything. I love and serve my Heavenly Father with everything that I have.

Why I am a Mormon

The gospel has been a part of my life since I was born. I've always had a strong testimony of it and how it impacts my life. When I moved out of my home for the first time to attend college, I was really nervous. As I packed up my car and hugged my family I was scared to go out into the world alone; even though my parents live only an hour away. As I drove away from my house, the tears started coming. I prayed to my Heavenly Father as I was driving down the interstate. I felt his love and comfort, and knew that I was making the correct decision in moving out and furthering my education. Because of that choice, I have met people and had experiences that have changed my life. Those experiences have helped me prepare of my mission and for other ways that I'll serve my Savior in the future. I know that there was a Man that walked on this earth perfectly. He did everything in accordance to what our Father asked him to do. He lived for us, and died for us. He took upon himself all the sins and pain of the world, so that we may live with our Heavenly Father again. He knows everything that we are going though. Because He Himself has felt that pain. This Man is our brother. And He loves us more than we can comprehend. I know that we have a prophet living on the earth today; President Thomas S Monson. And that him, his counselors, and the members of the quorum of the twelve apostles are all prophets, seers, and revelators. They lead this church in love and service. I know that if we pray to our Heavenly Father, he is listening. Always. It doesn't matter is you're kneeling by your bed, or driving down a crowded street. He will answer your prayers and lead you and guide you in what you should do in your life. As you strive to have the Spirit in your life, you will know what path you're supposed to take in your life. I know that Heavenly Father loves me...And you. In the name of our Savior, Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

I am preparing to serve as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I'll be serving in the Virginia Richmond Mission for a period of 18 months. As a missionary, I'll be able to spread this amazing gospel and serve my Savior on a daily basis. I also lead the music in my weekly church meetings, as well as help plan activities for the sister in my ward.
