Hi I'm Joe Hancock

I've from Arizona. I love sports. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I enjoy spending time with my family, and we look for opportunities to engage in family activities. I want to have a family of my own someday. I've just finished my first semester of college, and it has blessed me enormously. I want to pursue medical school and hope to one day become an orthopedic surgeon. I enjoy playing many different sports; a few being soccer, football, and basketball. I love visiting the beach and participating in outdoor activities. I love listening to music, and I get excited to listen to almost every genre. I have a dream to visit the world and leave my impact on it.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that this church can give me peace and eternal happiness through Jesus Christ. I know that if we are faithful to his commandments, we can be blessed in this life and in the life after. I find great joy in the concept of an eternal family, and I believe that is extremely important in God's plan and for our everlasting happiness and joy. I know that relationships that we have on this earth don't end when we die. I know that God loves me, and he loves me enough to give me a loving family, a savior to allow me to change and repent of my sins, a prophet to lead us, and scriptures to guide us. I know that Jesus Christ is my savior, and that through his grace we are saved after all we can do. My favorite scripture is Philippians 4:13, which says, "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me." I know that this is true and we can do anything if it is a righteous desire and we seek the help of Christ.

How I live my faith

I have participated with the Boy Scouts of America, and the service opportunities that surround that organization. I received the rank of Eagle Scout in the BSA, and for my "Eagle Project" I brought clothes, toys, and household items to a village in Mexico. It was a defining moment in my life, and I could feel the joy of doing service. I live my faith by preparing to serve a full time mission. I will be serving in Mexico soon, and it is touching to know that I will be sharing something that I hold so dear. It is also touching to know that I will be serving those similar to those that I served just years before for my Eagle project. I have had responsibilities as a member of this church that have beneficial to my life. I have had leadership positions in youth groups associated with the church, and that has taught me to love and to lead those around me. Me and my father have visited families in the church in our area and have discussions with them about what they need, how we can serve them, and how they can go closer to Christ as families.
