Hi I'm Koury Collins

I like to call North Carolina home. Snowboarding, laughing, fun, and family is where it's at! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy spending time with my family and being able to laugh with them. I come from a family of seven. I am the fifth child. My brothers and I like to take trips to the mountains and go snowboarding. Serving in the Fresno California Mission and I love to serve everyone I can.

Why I am a Mormon

Growing up a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints I always had a little bit of a testimony of the truthfulness of its teachings. Although being a member my entire life I did not fully attain conversion till a trip to Washington DC in 2013. I went on this trip with my friend who had recently returned home from his mission in Washington DC. As we drove it did not occur to me that he had served a Spanish speaking mission till we were practically there. It terrified me because I had zero experience in Spanish. Little did I know that I would soon feel the spirit more abundantly and strongly than ever before. I knew right then and there that I loved the Gospel and that I need to serve a mission, hopefully in Spanish! My dreams came true! It was quite a journey to get to reaching my goal of serving a mission. On this journey I had learned much about Agency, the Atonement, Fasting, Prayer, and Tithing.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by acting on the belief that I have. I do my best to be who the Lord needs me to be and who He wants me to become. Serving those around me is what makes me happy. I live my faith by trusting in the promises that I have been made and I'll do anything to have those things! God doesn't expect me to be like you or even like the next guy. He expects me to be me BUT the best me possible. That is what I do! That is how I live my faith.
