Hi I'm Allie

My name is Allie, my favorite animal is a giraffe, I am 6 ft. tall and I'm a mormon (:

About Me

I was born and raised in the hot desert, known as Arizona. I have an amazing family that consists of two loving parents, an older sister, and two younger brothers that I love dearly. I am also 6 foot, which is pretty tall for a girl. I am currently a college student just trying to figure out what I want to do with my life..there are so many options! My major is currently Psychology, but I have yet to find my specialty in the field. I think I am leaning towards a counselor, but we'll see. I attended a community college here in Arizona for a year because I received a full ride scholarship & decided to take that opportunity for free tuition. Then I decided I wanted to experience living away from home, so I transferred over the the cold BYU-I. It definitely was a change & I learned how to be more responsible and make decisions on my own. I have to say, I enjoyed living in the snow, surprisingly. Currently, I am back in Arizona and pretty much live at the movie theaters. I have a job at Harkins theaters and when I am not working, I am watching a movie, so I am constantly their. I am also in love with concerts, music, painting my nails, and eating desserts. OH! & my favorite animal is a giraffe (:

Why I am a Mormon

I have grown up in the church and have been able to live by the standards that are given to us as members. Sure, I haven't always made the best decisions, but I have learned from my mistakes and know that by choosing to follow the straight and narrow path, it will bring great blessings to your life. I love the standards that we choose to live by and I can truly testify of that. Throughout my life, I have seen friends and family fall away from the church and make decisions that lead them on the wrong path. They still continue to struggle and I know that to be truly happy, we need to accept the gospel into our lives and make decisions that will help lead us to eternal life. I love being a mormon! I believe one of the best decisions I have made was when I was 8 and I made the decision to be baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. So many blessings have followed that one decision I decided to make. This gospel is true and I don't know where I would be without it.

How I live my faith

I am currently preparing to serve a mission for this amazing church. I opened my call in December on Christmas Eve. I am called to serve in the Hawaii Honolulu Mission! I was surprised and shocked to see that I was assigned to serve in Hawaii, but I know that is where the Lord wants me to be, so i'm not complaining (; I am nervous, but excited to serve the people of Hawaii! I am so grateful for this opportunity and I look forward to the many blessings that it will bring. In just a few short weeks I will be set apart as a full time missionary & will be headed to Hawaii. I know it will be challenging, but it will definitely be worth it. I haven't always planned on serving a mission, but after I received my Patriarchal Blessing in April of 2013, I knew that serving is something that I should do. The prophet also announced that girls are now able to serve at trust the age of 19, so that helped me make my decision as well. This gospel is true and I feel so blessed to be apart of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
