Hi I'm Kathy

I am a Mormon!

About Me

I am a native Idahoan, born and raised. I married my high school sweetheart 46 years ago and we have five children and 13 grandchildren. I am a wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, daughter, sister, niece, cousin, and friend, and while I have worked outside of my home in several different positions through the years, none defines me as much as those labels. I love to read and create thru sewing, crocheting and knitting. I love mountains, lakes, rivers and streams. I love to travel and hope to see many more wonderful places before I die.

Why I am a Mormon

I come from a long history of pioneering converts to the church, but I’m not one of those lucky people raised in the church who say they have always known this church is true. I am suspicious by nature—a “show me” kind of girl. Through prayer, study and living the principles of the gospel of Jesus of Christ, those truths have been manifest to me. I see every day the blessings and freedom that come from living by the principles of gospel. I feel the Savior’s love as I put those principles into practice. I feel peace in my heart. That’s why I’m a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith one day at a time through just doing my best. Loving and caring for others, forgiving others and myself, giving of my time and talents. Doing the little things to strengthen me: prayer, studying, attending meetings with others that strengthen my spirit, serving the Lord thru my callings in the church, and serving and caring for others.
