Hi I'm Anna Morales

I love my family, I'm preparing to serve a mission, and I'm a Mormon!!

About Me

I am originally from Minnesota, I moved to Georgia when I was five with my family to be closer to my extended family. I love, love, love to write (mostly short stories, I don't have what it takes to write a novel), I absolutely love reading other amateur writer's work, I practically edit everything I read in my mind anyway. I love to be in nature, I am constantly in awe of God's creation, so I love to go fishing and exploring in the summer time, although I wish I did it more often. I'm a pretty relaxed person, I don't like too much commotion in my life, so I typically won't go out and do things that could potentially take me away from a state of peace.

Why I am a Mormon

I have not always been a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Before I joined this church, I was a member of a baptist church. I grew up in the baptist faith, and I loved it. I loved my pastor, I loved my friends, and I loved my Savior. As much as I loved all of these things, I still felt as though something in my life was missing. I had many unanswered questions and no one to answer them. Or so I thought. I met a girl when I was twelve years old who was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and we grew very close over the past seven years. I visited her church quite often over the years and I enjoyed every minute of it. Although I enjoyed visiting, I had many issues with the beliefs and I never vocalized them. One day, last summer (July 2014) I had a thought run through my mind. "I need to meet with the missionaries" So I began meeting with them, and I had the wonderful opportunity of learning what the "Mormons" really believed. I learned so much during those few weeks, and many of my questions were answered as I read the Book of Mormon and prayed to my Father in Heaven about the things that I was learning and reading. Before that point, I had never felt the presence of The Holy Ghost, and of my Savior so strongly and continuously. I knew that the things that I was reading were good, to say the least. But were they true? Did Christ really come to the people of the ancient Americas and minister to them as well as people in the middle east? Did God really restore His Gospel through Joseph Smith? Did we really have a prophet here on Earth to guide us in these modern times? All of these questions, answered. By the only One who has the right and authority to answer them. Our Father in Heaven. I am a Mormon because I finally asked God what He wanted me to do, instead of acting by what I wanted to do. I am a Mormon because I sought the truth, and it was made known to me.

How I live my faith

I believe I live my faith by striving to always keep God's commandments, and by striving to stay close to my Savior. I spend most of my free time with the missionaries of my church, and studying God's word, as I am preparing to serve a mission for the time span of eighteen months. Always trying to be more like our Savior, Jesus Christ is one of the greatest commandments God has ever given us. It blesses me each day with constant love, comfort, and guidance as I remember my Savior and the sacrifice He made for you and I. Our Father in Heaven loves His children and He wants us to be a good example to those around us, so that we may bring the light and love of Christ to all of His children. I live my faith by following the path that Christ walked, and by remembering Who has cared for me, loved me, strengthened me in times of need, and sheltered me through the winds and rains that this life has brought to me and those I love.
