Hi I'm Erik

I was raised Colorado.. I am a college student. I am preparing to serve a full-time mission to Manchester, England.

About Me

I was born and raised LDS, and am still active today. I am the youngest of four siblings; two sisters and one brother. I have attended one semester of college at BYU-Idaho, and hope to transfer to Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, and hope to obtain a degree in education or psychology. I am preparing to serve a full time (two year) mission to Manchester, England. I enjoy playing and watching sports, I enjoy taking art classes, spending with my family and friends, and going to school.

Why I am a Mormon

Since I have been active all my life, it always seemed weird to NOT be Mormon. However, there have been many times I have asked myself the same question, "Why am I a Mormon". Even though I have had my doubts of being in the church, in my heart I have always known it was true. The church has always kept its values the same and that is something I value. Having a religion that remains true to its beliefs in order to help and serve people, to create happier lives, has made grow to love this church. The values of this church has helped become the person I am today and with out it, I would be lost. I am so thankful for my parents and their example of being active members, and I can see how happy they are in their lives and I want to have that same happiness. I also know the Book of Mormon to be true and believe in its teachings.

How I live my faith

I believe obedience is one of the most important characteristics to living my faith. I am preparing to serve a full-time mission to Manchester, England. I am excited to serve the people of England, and be able to share the beliefs that I have, so others can find happiness in their lives as well. I am doing this based on obedience to the words of our prophet. I believe that everyone on Earth has a purpose. No matter where life takes take me, I know that this church is true, and that it is my job to live faithfully to the standards and teachings of the church. And I know that if I am a compassionate, knowledgeable, and obedient person, that I will be able to live my life according to my faith.
