Hi I'm Lydia

I am an artistic person with a lot of dreams. I am a musicians, a fashion designer and I want to become a writer. I’m a Mormon.

About Me

I always was an artistic person. Everything that you can name as art, I love it. When I was 8 years old, I start learning violin in school. Music is a great part in my life and most of the time I am seeking inspiration, I find it in music. My dream was always to be a writer, but I knew that it was not a really stable job, so I choose to follow my second dream and I went to study fashion design in College. I really love creating clothes and costume, but all the time, my first dream came out. So, I decide that It was possible for me to follow my dreams and to do what can bring me happiness in my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born as a LDS member. Both my parents join the Church in their life and I was raise in the gospel, but at the age of 15 years old something happen in my heart. I understood what it meant to be a member of the Church and I didn't wanted to live the gospel if it wasn't true. Everyone always told me, if you want to know for yourself if this is true, you need to ask God. So, that's what I did. I kneel down in my bedroom one night, begging God to receive an answer. I truly wanted to know if this Church was true, if that was what he wanted for me and if it was really the Church of Jesus Christ restored on earth. I didn't finish my prayer that night, that I felt so strongly in my heart, with no doubts, that I was were Heavenly Father wanted me to be. I was in the Church of Jesus Christ and I knew that I should continue all my life to live the Gospel. I'm not a Mormon for my parents, I'm not a Mormon for my friends, I'm a Mormon, because I know this is the true Church of Jesus Christ on earth and I know it, because I ask God and he answered me.

How I live my faith

In Church I had the chance to teach the children of 1 1/2 years old to 11 years old to sing. It was an incredible experience. Children are really exceptional person and it bring so much joy in my heart all the time all hear them sing. I also had the opportunity when I was 16 years old to help supervise the young women camp that we have every year. It is a wonderful camp were we learn some tips about camping and be able to survive in the nature. It's also a camp were we learn to grow our faith in Jesus Christ and all girls of 12-17 years old gather together trying our best to be closer to our Savior. But, probably the better experience in my I had was to go and serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I left everything behind me, my family, my study, my friends, so I can serve the Lord of 18 months in Salt Lake Temple Square mission. The Lord has bless me with that opportunity to help and serve others. I am really grateful to be able to share what I know and to bring the happiness the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Saints had brought me.
