Hi I'm Charlene

I grew up in Philippines. I am the first missionary in my family and I love to share the gospel. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love teaching and educating people. I love them watching learning new ideas and learning the gospel and living it. I love reading books, specially church's published literature. I really love learning! I am the youngest in our family. I have one brother and two sisters and they are all awesome. Since childhood, I always doing my best in everything. I'm a consistent honor student from pre-school to high school and that makes my parents so proud of me. My father passed away when I am 17 and it really gave us-my family, heartaches. But our lives never stops there. Knowing that we can be together again and forever, we really feel the love of our Father in Heaven. His wonderful plan, the Plan of Happiness, is one of the best gifts I ever received and things I ever knew. I want to share that good news to His children and one way is serving a mission. I know I can be a blessing to the people of Mesa, Arizona (where I called as a missionary) and I will continue to do my best to obey with exactness.

Why I am a Mormon

One best thing I am thanking to my parents earnestly is that they receive the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. They let me taste the sweetness of living. They let me grow in the church for they knew that I'll be a person they want me to be. Since primary, I was in tune to the gospel. I love the gospel and I am loving it more knowing that it blesses not just me but also my family and the next generation to come. Being a Mormon is not easy. You have to live the gospel, follow the standards, keep the commandments, obey all the laws, read the scripture daily, pray daily, have a family home evening, family counseling, you have to attend church meetings and many more but all these things never stop me and my family to continue live the gospel and stay active in the church simply because we understand and knew that salvation is not also easy. That salvation never comes in cheap experience. I love being a Mormon for it truly helps me to go back to the presence of our loving Heavenly Father with my family.

How I live my faith

I am now a young women adviser in our branch and I love my calling. I love working with the presidency in helping our young women making right decisions and becoming a good example to everybody. Together with my friends, we do visit our church members, giving them service so that they can feel the love we had for them. Also, I share the gospel to those people who want to know more about the church.
