Hi I'm Steve

I am a husband, father and I enjoy motorcross and camping but I love the Gospel of Jesus Christ and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I have a wonderful wife of 31 years and 3 great sons. I served a proselyting mission in Independence Missouri many years ago. I can't wait to serve in this capacity again but this time with my eternal companion. I am a mechanical engineer and graduated from BYU in engineering. I have the opportunity to visit China on a regular basis for work and love the people there. I spend much of my time in China in the "Garden City" called Xiamen. I love riding motorcycles, motocross, racing desert, and camping. I really enjoy it when my sons can go riding with me. My favorite thing to do is talk about the gospel with those who really want to learn. I can not imagine what my life would be like without the gospel of Jesus Christ. I am was taught about the Mormon faith when I was 18 and have been mentored by my sweetheart ever since.

Why I am a Mormon

I learned about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints from a friend and employer when I was 18. I was and am eternally grateful for Daryl's example and compassion and it has changed my life for the better more than words can describe. The truths and answers that I have learned and that are available within the Mormon faith have built upon and magnified what I was taught as a child and have shaped and strengthened me in ways that I will forever be grateful for.

How I live my faith

I currently serve in the Oquirrh Mountain Temple once a week and love to see so many smiling friends there. I also serve as the Venture Scout leader with the young men (14-16) in my Ward. I love to talk about the Mormon faith to those who really want to learn. I have seen lives change for the better as they came to know more about Christ.

To what do you attribute the growth of the Church?

I feel that as time passes by there is an ever increasing chasm between good and evil and an increasing fog of uncertainty in the middle. The Mormon Church (Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints) provides a way for each of to decide for our selves which side we choose to be on. The attraction to honest, loyal friends and an eternal strong family along with true faith promoting answers to life's concerns are needed as much now as ever. Show more Show less
