Hi I'm Benjamin

I'm from Panama. I live in Canada and I am getting ready to serve a 2 year mission for the LDS Church in Colombia! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a am the second oldest child from a family of five kids! We love spending time together listening to music or just talking, making fun of each other and being silly. I love fitness and sports; I played many sports in high school and stayed pretty active. My favourite sports are soccer and basketball. I LOVE music; I play the drums and really like dance parties. I like to take pictures of nature or draw to just relax. I like meeting new people and learning new things. Since I was born and raised in Panama, I am in love with the beach and everything that you can see and enjoy there. I'll be in Colombia for two years as a missionary! I'm definitely not perfect but I try to be the best person I can be!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe God is my Heavenly Father who loves me and knows me perfectly. I know I can pray to Him and He will always listen. I know He wants me to succeed in everything I do. I believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God and is the Saviour and Redeemer of the world; he suffered for me so that I could be happy in this life and for eternity. He is the way to salvation. I know the gospel of Christ blesses families and individuals with peace and comfort; it is a gospel of change and improvement for the better. I am so thankful for all the things I have been given in my life! I know that the trials I experience are put in my path to help me learn and grow. I know that The Bible and The Book of Mormon are true books for us to learn and exercise faith in this life; their teachings are the way for us to be who God needs us to be. I know that by following those teachings and principles we can learn to love our brothers and sisters on this earth. I am a Mormon because I know these things to be true. I have felt them and experienced them in many occasions. The gospel gives me courage and strength to overcome anything!

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith by being an example to my brothers and sister and those who I spend time with. I have taught Sunday School as a teacher for kids ages 7 to 10. I go out with the full-time missionaries of the Church when I can so that I can share my beliefs with those who accept the message. I have participated in service activities through the Youth and Scout program at Church. I have accepted the call to serve for two years in Colombia as a missionary.
