Hi I'm Savannah

I'm a native of the Pacific Northwest. I am a baker, photographer, pianist, and full-time missionary. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

A little bit about me... My dream is to own a bakery. I already have a name and ideas for what would be sold and the decor. Baking (and eating) is one of my passions; I love to spread joy through this passion. Photography is another one of my passions. A picture really is worth a thousand words, and a thousand emotions. Each carries a special memory and an artistic value that cannot be duplicated in any other way. My passion led me to create my own (small) photography business, Freckles In Time Photography. I am a college student at Brigham Young University, studying Event Planning in the Marriott School of Business. I will be applying to the Program in June of 2017. Right now I am on a break from school as I prepare to serve a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. On February 18th I will become a missionary and serve in the Nevada, Reno mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I find peace in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I find peace in knowing that I have a loving Father in Heaven that knows me better than I know myself; peace in the knowledge that I can be forgiven for my many imperfections; peace that I always have someone to show me the way. This peace serves as the greatest comfort I have in this mortal life. Life is unpredictable. People are unpredictable. The world is unpredictable. God is constant. He loves each one of His children and is always there to support them, no matter the circumstances. In a world where we don't know what will happen five minutes in the future, it is so comforting to know that there is a constant for us to rely on. When we choose to act in the Gospel of Jesus Christ, we choose a relationship with our Father in Heaven above all else, increasing the peace that we each feel in our lives through Him each day.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by striving to emulate Christ everyday. He is my exemplar and inspiration. He is the reason that I can feel peace in the imperfect state that I live in everyday. With all my imperfections, I know that I can rely on Him for support, strength, and ultimately forgiveness. I strive to learn of Christ and to implement His characteristics in my life. I am in no way perfect, but this life is about improvement, not daily perfection. Yes, perfection is the goal, but we are all aware that no one in this earth life can achieve that; I focus on learning, improving, and showing my love to Christ and my Father in Heaven by living their commandments everyday.
