Hi I'm Kaeli Strong

I love to study and learn. I love my Savior. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Right now I am a missionary in the Alaska Anchorage Mission. My favorite thing to do is to study and learn. I love to learn new things. I also love the water and was on the swim team in high school. I love music and I play the flute. I enjoy being with my friends and family. My family is most important to me and I love playing with my little siblings. I have been to hair school (Cosmetology) and done some college. I want to get a Bachelor degree after my mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church, or basically my parents are members and I grew up as a member. I had to learn for myself that this was true though. I like to find out for myself what is wrong or right and the "why" of things. I knew that I couldn't just rely on my parents testimony. So I did the things that the gospel teaches us, to test it. To see if it really is right and as good as the people around me told me it was. I did it with the desire to know if it was the correct path for me. I read my scriptures, went to church, and prayed. As I did these things and asked for confirmation from Heavenly Father, the Holy Ghost testified to me that this church is true. It took time and a lot of personal study and prayer to gain that belief, but It was worth it. I'm so grateful that we can get our own answers to our questions and come to the knowledge ourselves and not have to take someone else's word for it. In that aspect, prayer has been really important to me and has also been a great comfort to me in my life. Prayer has been so helpful during the hard times I've had. I'm so grateful for my Savior and all that He did for me. He's been through everything that I have and has been with me every step of the way. I'm so grateful for the scriptures and being able to learn more about His teachings. This gospel has been a huge blessing in my life and has given me the desire to serve my Lord and to bring the happiness that I have to others. So I came out on a mission. It was my own choice and something I feel like the Lord asked me to do. I love Him and want to do what He asks me to do, and so I am spending a year and a half away from my family, across the country, and teaching people. I am a Mormon and a Missionary because I love my Savior and I know this church has the fulness of His gospel.

How I live my faith

My mission has helped me live my faith 24/7. I get to study the word of God every morning and I am always learning new things. I love being able to learn what the Lord would have me do and how I can help others. I get to teach people everyday about our church and what we believe. It has been an incredible experience to be able to study and then to teach, because I am the one who benefits the most. The teacher always learns more then the student. I am so grateful for the opportunity to be in Alaska and trying to follow the example of my Savior. I love that His day is Sunday and that I get to go to church to partake of the Sacrament. I love being able to really focus on my Savior and everything He has done for me.
