Hi I'm Amy

I'm a wife and expectant mother, and work as a nurse. My passions are photography and enjoying the outdoors. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm the wife of a medical student and expectant mother to our first baby coming in June! I'm trained as an Intensive Care nurse and love the challenge and excitement that comes with my work. My passion is enjoying the outdoors in any way possible, particularly spending time hiking in the mountains with the people that I love. There's just nothing like sitting on top of a mountain after a hard day of hiking and taking in the spectacular views. It's the best!

Why I am a Mormon

Because it makes me so happy! Knowing the fullness of the gospel gives me a purpose in life, and truly makes me want to be a better person. I know that I have a Father in Heaven who listens to my prayers and wants what is best for me, and that has helped me through the good and the bad in my life. I have come to love the Book of Mormon more and more as I read from it, and I know that it is true. I am eternally grateful for a Savior who has atoned for my sins so that I am able to return to live with my Heavenly Father one day. My faith helps to give me an eternal perspective and stay focused on the things that really matter.

How I live my faith

I strive to make my faith a part of my every day life, not just something that I do every Sunday. I pray daily, study from the scriptures, and try to look for opportunities to serve those around me. Within the church, I have been blessed to be able to serve in various capacities, including providing music for meetings and teaching within the women's organization and the youth. Teaching has stretched me out of my comfort zone and helped me to deepen my understanding of the gospel, both through the information that I have taught and from those participating in my classes. I learn more about the gospel every day and strive to always be the best I can be!
