Hi I'm Lauren

I'm a born and raised Oregonian. I love art. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the oldest of four kids. I have two dogs and seven chickens! I love anything that has to do with arts and crafts. I love to draw, especially when I am doing it for someone else. I love to use my talents to help others.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised a member of this church. I went to church on Sundays and activities on the weekdays just like I was supposed to. I didn't really know why I was doing these things if I was just going through the motions. Growing up with only one parent as a member was difficult. It just isn't the same when you have both parents working together to get the family ready for church each Sunday. I knew the church was true, but only because others had told me. I wanted to find out for myself if this was the direction I was intended to go in my life. When I knelt down to ask Heavenly Father if the Book of Mormon was true, the answer I got was, how could it not be? I knew it all along but I didn't know how I knew it. When one of my older cousins left to serve a full-time mission, I wanted to know if being a missionary was something I needed to do as well. I just got this overwhelming feeling that a mission was what I needed to prepare for and eventually do. Ever since then, and it has been about five years, I knew that I needed to become a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

How I live my faith

I am going to be the first sister missionary in my family! My dad is a nonmember so I am especially excited to be an example not only to him, but to my three younger siblings as well. I try to be the best example I can be to everyone around me in the hopes that they will notice the light of Christ that the gospel brings to my life.
