Hi I'm Ethan

I'm from New Hampshire. I'm a student and a proud American. And I'm Mormon.

About Me

During my junior year of high school, I joined the US Army. At age 17, I left the comforts of home for military service to challenge myself, serve my country and earn money for my post-secondary education. I'm a graduate of the US Army Airborne School at Fort Benning, Georgia and hope to become an officer in the Army after finishing college. I love learning. I'm a voracious reader and enjoy studying diverse subjects ranging from American political history to theology and pure mathematics. I was recently accepted to a university and plan on pursuing a degree in economics or finance.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents are both Mormon so I have been attending meetings of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints for most of my life. However, I did not consider myself particularly faithful until my junior year of high school. When I was in the 11th grade, I was very preoccupied with existential questions like "Why do I exist?" and "Where did I come from before I was born, if anywhere?" and "What will happen when I die?" I was one day casually reading the Book of Mormon and decided to pray to God to know if he was really there and if the Book of Mormon was true scripture. I came away from that moment with a firm knowledge that God is our loving Heavenly Father, that He lives and that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the true church.

How I live my faith

I am a regular volunteer in my community and I frequently teach Gospel lessons during Sunday church services.
