Hi I'm Georgia

Hi I'm a student currently living in the beautiful Welsh coast. And I'm a Mormon!

About Me

Hi I'm Georgia! I am 18 years old and have already lived in 14 places as my family LOVES to move! I love being outdoors, spending time with family and friends. Each day I try to do something new. I believe that a person should grow each minute, since we have time :). In August I leave for the Wellington New Zealand mission - where I will serve the Lord and people of NZ for 18 months.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the Church, but I like most second gens' coasted and relied on my parents testimony's for years. Even then, I struggled with many aspects of the doctrine and my real testimony of this gospel didn't develop until I was 18. I am the type of person that wants to learn and understand things in their fullness on my own and not just live off of other people's testimonies or knowledge. It took years of searching other religions and the religion I had been brought up in and many prayers before I understood the path that God had laid before me. Over the last few years I have been through many trials and God has never abandoned me. When I was hopeless, He comforted me and inspired me to endure and to overcome things that I thought I never could. He helped me to realize how important I am to Him. I love my Father in Heaven. I love my Savior and Redeemer for the sacrifice that He made for me and for the atonement which has played such a large role in my life. I testify that you can receive forgiveness and strength to forsake any wrong you have done. This life is difficult, but God has provided a way to attain eternal joy. Christ loved us enough to suffer that we might not. I know that Joseph Smith saw and conversed with our Heavenly Father and Savior and that through him, They restored the one true gospel. I know that the Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ and His divinity. Don't be afraid to ask questions and search for the truth. God loves questions! Ask Him. He's ready to answer you! That's why I'm a Mormon. I asked. I listened. I got my answer- then I acted.

How I live my faith

Everyday I try to be just a little more faithful to pray harder, study and find ways to serve people. I recently recieved my mission call - and will be serving the Lord for a period of 18 months in the Wellington New Zealand mission - I am greatly humbled and thankful for the opportunity to be part of the great and marvelous work of God. I know the blessings will be numerous and my testimony of the gospel will grow. And I feel a desire to share my testimony and experiences with anyone who will listen.

How do I become a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormon Church)?

Georgia
My best advice is to Contact the missionaries- They are here to help you! Taking part in missionary lessons and discussions will help you to find out more and will get you ready for baptism. I promise as you learn more about the church and prayerfully ponder what your being told, the spirit will confirm the truthfulness by a warm feeling; but this experience is different for everyone.
